Government says its development programs under its Revitalization Blueprint have attracted more than 1,000 expressions of interest.
Speaking at a media conference on Sunday, Works Minister Jearlean John said the strong response reflects growing confidence in Trinidad and Tobago’s economy.
“Trinidad and Tobago, you understand, we positioned ourselves well. And the submission Pages reviewed thus far is 190, 000. In UDECOTT, they are still counting,” said Ms John.
“The mandate is for them to work around the clock in shifts because of how robust the response was.”
Of the 129 projects under the Blueprint, Minister Jon revealed that the Waterfront Real Estate at Invaders Bay attracted just under 60 submissions.
“Three hundred Premium waterfront apartments, 400 berths—marine docks—four five-star hotels offering a thousand rooms to 3, 000 rooms in five years, three thousand, and ten years,” said Mr John.
“UDECOTT, they have just downloaded the submissions. They will now go through the submissions. Just from an initial impression, this is a major response.”
The Works Minister said they have received interest from several countries including the US, France, and China.
The Revitalization Blueprint was launched in November 2025, with 129 projects under 12 development nodes.
