Police are waiting results in a toxicology report following the death of a three-year-old child in St Madeleine.

Omarie Richins died on Monday morning, with his father unsuccessfully performing CPR on him for 20 minutes.

An autopsy stated his death was due to a fatal chain reaction of brain swelling, loss of consciousness, and pneumonia.

His father believes that his son suffocated on his vomit after eating too much pizza.
