US President Donald Trump has ordered the military to restart nuclear weapons testing, after 33-years.
The decision was announced on Truth Social, while Mr Trump was on his way to meet the Chinese leader in South Korea.
He said testing would begin immediately, citing other countries’ nuclear programs.
According to Reuters, it is not clear whether the order refers to nuclear-explosive testing or missile flight tests, but the decision marks a significant shift in U.S. nuclear policy.
