President Christine Kangaloo has told the diplomatic community that Trinidad and Tobago is committed to international partnerships, upholding that “dialogue is always better than disputation.”
Speaking at an Annual Head of Mission Dinner at Presidents House recently, President Kangaloo also affirmed that “cooperation is always better than conflict” and “respect is always better than regret.”
She thanked the 31 members of the Diplomatic Corps at the dinner for their efforts in “breaching divides,” “promoting consensus,” and in “creating connections among the countries.”
Venezuela ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Alvaro Enrique Sanchez Cordero, conveyed the anguish of the diplomatic community over the devastation, loss of life, and displacement caused by Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean.
The Annual Heads of Missions Dinner took place at President’s House on 5 November at President’s House.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sean Sobers, was among the invited guests at the event.
