President Christine Kangaloo and First Gentleman Kerwyn Garcia marked the International Day of Kindness with a special visit to the JC Mac Donald Home for the Aged in San Fernando on Friday.
Staff from the Office of the President prepared and served lunch to residents and caregivers, while Their Excellencies spent time chatting with seniors, including former Home Chair and retired Naparima College Principal, Dr. Allan McKenzie.
Adding to the warm celebration, the Office of the President Choir made its debut performance, serenading residents with festive music and early Christmas cheer.
They were joined by the Home’s leadership team, as the nearly century-old institution—founded in 1931—continues its long tradition of caring for the elderly.
