Guyana’s President, Irfaan Ali, is calling for deeper regional collaboration to drive sovereign development across the Caribbean.
Speaking at the annual meeting of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he called for an end to bureaucratic barriers that hinder trade.
President Ali said a joint economic fund could position the region as first movers in a rapidly changing global economy.
Dr Ali further emphasized the need for government systems that inspire private sector confidence, while creating an enabling environment for investment in emerging industries.
