The Port Authority says capacity on the inter-island sea bridge has been ramped up, with three passenger vessels now in operation.

The Buccoo Reef has returned to service following statutory dry docking, joining the APT James and Galleons Passage, providing capacity for approximately 2,000 passengers and more than 400 vehicles per sailing cycle.

The Authority said recent disruptions were due to mandatory maintenance and unplanned technical issues, not service abandonment.

It adds that operational decisions continue to be guided by safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable connectivity, with additional sailings introduced, as the demand increases ahead of Carnival.
