Police have arrested three men and seized quantities of cocaine and cannabis during anti-crime exercises across the Central, North Central, and Western Divisions on Monday.
In Couva, officers of the Central Division Task Force detained two men after discovering cocaine hidden in a cigarette pack and foil paper, weighing about 30 grams.
Both were arrested for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
In the North Central Division, a 31-year-old man was held with over 120 grams of cannabis.
In the Western Division, officers seized 363 grams of cannabis and arrested a priority offender wanted on an outstanding warrant.
All operations formed part of “Operation Trident,” supervised by senior police officers. Investigations are ongoing.
