Police are investigating a reported chopping incident in Tunapuna on Monday.
Officers responded to a call and found a 28-year-old man with a wound to his right cheek, being assisted by his 46-year-old girlfriend.
According to reports, the incident arose from an argument with the woman’s 17-year-old son, who was reportedly upset that the man had spent the night at their home.
The teenager allegedly struck the man with a cutlass before fleeing the scene.
The injured man was taken to hospital, and the cutlass was recovered by police.
