The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has confirmed that two persons have been arrested after a woman they allegedly held against her will was rescued.
A TTPS media release stated that two suspects were arrested and a female victim rescued following a report of False Imprisonment in the Southern Division on Saturday.
Officers of the Barrackpore Police Station and the Southern Division Task Force reportedly responded to a report of a woman being kept against her will in the Barrackpore district.
TTPS stated that the victim and two suspects were subsequently found in the area and the victim taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The suspects are a 38-year-old Penal woman and her 17-year-old son.
They were arrested in connection with the matter.
In an unrelated matter, a 31-year-old man was held during an intelligence-led exercise in Pleasantville in connection with a home invasion reported on April 11.
