Four individuals were arrested during anti-crime exercises conducted within the Port of Spain Division on Sunday.
Three were arrested in relation to Preventative Detention Orders and one in connection with suspected involvement in home invasions, robberies and destruction of an electronic monitoring device.
The operations were conducted in Laventille, Calvary Hill, Bath Street, Basilon Street, Eastern Quarry and Mango Rose between 2pm and 6pm on Sunday.
Police said they searched for illegal firearms and other contraband in multiple houses, apartments, abandoned buildings, known drug blocks and several vehicles.
The operation was spearheaded by DCP Operations, Suzette Martin, ACP Henry, with strategic oversight by Snr Supt Thom, with supervision by Supt Revanales, Supt Baird, ASP Cadette, and ASP Mungroo.
