PNM Political Leader Pennelope Beckles-Robinson says there is room for those who want to rebuild the party, even unsuccessful internal election candidates.

During a media briefing at Balisier House today, she made a call for members to focus on rebuilding and healing the party, after its defeat in the April 28th General Election.

Mrs Beckles-Robinson said members of the executive will go into constituencies to engage the membership on plans and programmes to take the party forward.

On the issue of low voter turnout for the recent PNM Internal Election, she said a comparative data analysis showed that the numbers did not vary much from past polls.

Newly re-elected Party Chairman, Foster Cummings, said since the party moved from delegate voting to the ‘one man-one vote’ system, this year’s 7000 votes were competitive to the 2018 and 2022 elections, which saw 9,000 votes on both occasions.
