Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar joked that she would have booed Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath for his “terrible” singing at the Hyatt Lime fete on Wednesday, had she been there.
Padarath attempted the chorus of Machel Montano’s “Give Them Performance” while praising Minister Jearlean John, sparking viral videos and social media criticism.
Speaking yesterday, the Prime Minister said she found his performance hilarious and reminded revellers to enjoy their Carnival celebration.
