Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has hailed Thursday’s major drug bust as a victory for the nation’s border security.
The TTPS seized over 1,500 kg of creepy marijuana valued at over $171 million dollars on Thursday in the Caroni Swamp.
Speaking at a function to honour top-performing students at the CXC Regional Awards on Thursday, the Prime Minister said the success was made possible by the newly-installed radar system.

Meanwhile, at the same event, the Prime Minister says it’s vital for the education system to keep pace with rapid advances in technology, ensuring no child is left behind.
