Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the Government will not look for the bodies from a vessel targeted by the US Navy last week.
She added that state resources will not be wasted on recovery operations.
This came in response to calls from Colombia’s President urging T&T to assist in recovery efforts.
She reportedly told the T&T Express that the drugs on the boat bring more death and despair than conventional weapons.
She then allegedly added that it was better for drug traffickers to be blown to pieces than citizens murdered.
