Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she draws strength from the values of this holy season.
In her Christmas message, she emphasized the importance of reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas, especially in light of the suffering faced by many in the region.
The Prime Minister highlighted the struggles of populations living under repression, violence, and economic hardship, reminding us that Christmas assures us that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
She called on citizens to honour the season by caring for others, serving the sick, feeding the hungry, and working for peace.
The Prime Minister also noted that the country is steadily recovering and that the Government remains focused on service, responsibility, and integrity.
