A Longdenville pensioner has been sentenced to three years in jail after pleading guilty to the Sexual Touching of a Child.
The accused was sentenced when he appeared before Justice Nalini Singh in the Port of Spain High Court North, on January 22nd 2026.
In October 2023, the victim told her mother of an incident where a male relative allegedly touched her sexually.
A police report was filed, with the man arrested and charged on on April 11th 2024.
On May 27th 2025, he was committed to stand trial in the High Court.
