Patriotic Front leader Mikela Panday is calling on the Government to provide greater transparency on national and regional security matters.
She warned that “fear is not a foreign policy.”
In a statement responding to comments by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Panday said public reassurance without explanation undermines accountability.
She cited recent media reports and official confirmations of U.S. support facilities in Tobago, arguing these contradict Government claims that Trinidad and Tobago is not involved in any regional military action.
Panday insists citizens are not opposing the United States, but are demanding clarity on what commitments have been made, and in whose interest.
