Parliament is set to re-open this Friday, with a full agenda.

Leader of Government Business in the Lower House, Barry Padarath, told 103.1FM News today that four bills have been given to the House Secretariat.

Listed first was the Miscellaneous Provisions (FATF Compliance) Bill, 2025, which is aimed at strengthening T&T’s anti-money laundering frameworks.

Also included is the Counter-Proliferation Financing Bill, 2025 and the Virtual Assets and Virtual Assets Service Providers Bill, 2025 both of which aim to improve transparency.

Debate is also expected on the Citizenship of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which will allow citizenship for athletes whose grandparents were born in T&T.
