Leader of the Patriotic Front Mickela Panday is calling for full transparency from the Prime Minister, about Independent Senators seeking personal favours in exchange for votes.
In a social media post, she said the allegations amount to bribery at the highest level of Parliament.
Ms Panday criticized Mrs Persad-Bissessar for not naming those involved, presenting evidence, or referring the matter to law enforcement.
She added that vote-trading allegations are criminal issues, not political rhetoric.
