Over 12 tonnes of debris were removed from coastal areas in the Carenage area, during a large-scale beach clean-up.
Led by the TTPS Coastal and Air Support Unit on Sunday, the operation covered the Tembladora Coastline, Williams Bay, and St. Peter’s Bay, with more than 140 bags of waste collected.
The initiative, mandated by Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, was supported by community volunteers and key stakeholders and is the first of 12 community and public safety events planned for 2026.
Police reiterated that cleaner coastlines reduce hazards, discourage illegal dumping, and enhance maritime security.
