The Nursing Council says its Education Committee will review submissions made by COSTATT regarding its Advanced Certificate in Nursing Assistant programme.
The follows a meeting held yesterday to clarify the status of the programme.
COSTATT says it has consistently followed all due processes, maintaining written communication with the Accreditation Council of T&T and the Nursing Council since February 2024, when the programme proposal was submitted.
It adds that programme approval was granted by the ACTT in November 2024, with COSTAATT submitting all required curriculum documentation and several revised versions based on feedback.
The Nursing Council says its review of the latest submissions will aim to reach a decision as soon as possible.
Both parties also pledged to continue working together as partners, in the interest of students.
Last week, the Nursing Council reportedly advised COSTAATT that the programme cannot begin, since it did not obtain the required approval.
