National Petroleum is urging the public to exercise caution when using LPG gas cylinders, following the death of Ria George.
Ms George succumbed to burn injuries, at the San Fernando General Hospital, almost two months after cooking gas explosion.
In offering condolences, NP also reiterated the importance of safety tests on LPG cylinders before use.
The company reminded customers to conduct a ‘soapy water test’ to check for leaks before using any gas cylinder and urged that all concerns be immediately reported to the distributor or retailer.
Emphasizing the importance of safety, NP said it remains committed to ensuring all LPG cylinders are safe for use.
