Norman’s Windball Cricket League is celebrating 20 years with this year’s edition starting on July 7th, 2024.

The 2024 tournament is dubbed “20 For 20” with the first place winners to walk away with $20,000.

Tournament founder Norman Mungroo told 103.1FM that the competition has come a long way from its origins in 2004.

Mr Mungroo says over the years, a number of national and international cricketers have played in the tournament, including Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, Rayad Emrit and Lendl Simmons.

Moving forward, he hopes to find a stable sponsor, as he believes the competition helps to nurture local talent.

He also hopes to add a women’s event.
