A section of the ceiling in front of the Sun J Jewellery Collection, on the first floor of Gulf City Mall, collapsed earlier this afternoon.
Video footage circulating on social media showed portions of the ceiling structure on the floor, with hanging wires and water in the affected area.
Mall officials told 103.1FM News that despite the incident, the mall and the store remains open for business.
There were no reported injuries and no damages reported inside the store.
The cause of the collapse has not yet been disclosed.
