The National Insurance Contribution Rate will increase from 13.2% to 16.2%, effective January 5th, 2026.
The adjustment by NIB aims to address the growing number of benefit recipients and a decrease in contributors, to ensure long-term sustainability and protection for insured citizens.
These efforts, combined with the updated contribution rates, are intended to ensure that the National Insurance System (NIS) remains robust and responsive in the coming decades.
