The new UTT Board will be chaired by Professor Selwyn R. Cudjoe and includes Indar Kanhai, Amit Sooknanan, and Dr. Shivannand Maharaj.
Letters of appointment were presented this morning at the Education Towers in Port of Spain.
The new Board will serve for a period of three years.
The new Board of Governors is as follows:

- Dr. Shivannand Maharaj
- Ms. Valene Maharaj
- Mr. Shastri Parsad
- Mr. Amit Sooknanan

- Ms. Sherine Janglee-Mungal
- Ms. Christine Bann
- Dr. Esther E. Cruickshank
- Mr. Indar Kanhai
Congratulating the appointees was Tertiary Education Minister Professor Prakash Persad, who encouraged collective responsibility and collegiality.
He added, “UTT is about mixing different talents together and becoming a catalyst for the economic development of Trinidad and Tobago.”
