Government has launched a new pilot project to facilitate Carnival cleanup operations.
The National Program for Upkeep of Public Spaces is set to focus on cleaning up high-traffic areas through a coordinated, multi-agency approach.
The program is currently in operation during Carnival 2026 festivities.
On Friday, Minister of Local Government, Khadija Ameen is set to visit locations at Adam Smith Square, the National Stadium, and the Queen’s Park Savannah to have a first-hand look at operations.
