Karen Yip Chuck has been appointed President of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In her inaugural address at the T&T Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, Ms Yip Chuck pledged to work closely with government to support local economic development.
Ms Yip chuck noted that geopolitical tensions, foreign exchange constraints, energy challenges, and declining productivity are increasing the urgency for economic diversification.
She said T&T must act quickly to realize its potential as a regional trade and logistics hub, adding that the Chamber aims to evolve into a stronger platform for business resilience and leadership.
As President of the Chamber, Ms Yip Chuck will be supported by Immediate Past President Sonji Pierre Chase, Senior Vice President Dr. Christian Stone, and Vice Presidents Bryan Ramsumair and Jean-Paul Dookie.
The Board also includes Kiran Maharaj, David Hadeed, Marc Persaud, Camille Chatoor, Sacha Thompson, Ambikah Mongroo, Garvin Medera, Yogendranath Ramsingh, and Dale Lutchman as Directors.
