The Office of the Parliament says the 22nd National Youth Parliament will be held on Monday from 9:30am to 3:00pm at The Red House, Port of Spain.

Forty youth Parliamentarians will debate a Motion on “Mitigating the Effects of Cyberbullying.”

Thirty-six of the participants were selected from secondary schools, tertiary institutions, and youth organizations.

During the past two months, the participants underwent training in oratory and research skill, debate techniques, and the use of Standing Orders, etiquette, and other skill sets in preparation for Monday’s debate.

Nirad Maharaj, the 22nd National Youth Parliament Prime Minister, sought advice from Public Utilities Minister, Barry Padarath, in preparation for the event.

Maharaj, a Naparima College student, inquired about Padarath’s experiences, managing the government bench, debating strategies and parliamentary procedures leading up to the 22nd National Youth Parliament debate.
