“Summer Slam” Operations have led to more than 20 arrests and the seizure of firearms, ammunition and narcotics in the various divisions yesterday.
Eight persons were arrested for various offenses in Mayaro, while Venezuelan national was also detained by immigration authorities for questioning.
Operations resulted in the seizure of various narcotics, including over 1kg of cannabis, cocaine, illegal ammunition and other prohibited items.
In San Fernando, two persons were arrested for possession of a firearm, ammunition and cannabis, while four suspects were detained in Penal for possession of a shotgun and five cartridges.
Other exercises led to the arrest of 12 persons for various offences, including ammunition possession, larceny and driving without a driver’s permit and seizure of multiple arms, ammo and narcotics.
