Monos Island kidnap victim Derrick Tardieu has been released.
However, according to a senior police official, his wife Claribel has not been released, and it remains unclear whether a ransom was paid.
According to a T&T Express report, the 70-year-old businessman was dropped off “somewhere” along the North Coast around 1AM yesterday.
Meanwhile, attorney Lesley-Ann Lucky-Samaroo, SC issued a statement saying the family is grateful for the public’s prayers and support and is asking for privacy as Mr Tardieu recovers.
Mr Tardieu and his 47-year-old wife were kidnapped from their Monos Island home on December 6th, after which a US$2.5 million dollar ransom demand was reportedly made.
