The Ministry of Works says it is actively addressing the issue of duplicate road markings on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, between Chaguanas and Chase Village, which have raised safety concerns for motorists.
In a response to questions from 103.1FM News, the Ministry confirmed its PURE Unit is in active discussions with contractors to realign these markings, using advanced eraser technology.
It added that the corrective work remains a top priority, and the Ministry is committed to resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
Motorists are urged to remain cautious while traveling through the affected area and emphasized that safety is its primary concern.
