The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services has delivered over $360,000 in disaster relief grants to families affected by recent flooding in St. Augustine and surrounding communities.
At a distribution ceremony on Monday, fifty-three families received assistance totaling $365,500, including household item grants, clothing grants, and school supplies support.
Minister of the People, Vandana Mohit, said the Ministry remains committed to delivering fast, fair, and people-centred support during times of crisis.
St. Augustine MP and Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen praised the swift response and urged residents to share feedback to strengthen future disaster assistance.
