Transport and Civil Aviation Minister, Senator the Honourable Eli Zakour, led a safety assessment along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway following a recent fatal crash near the Corinth Overpass.
He was joined by senior engineers and police safety officials to identify ways to improve safety along the busy route.
The visit is part of a wider, multi-agency effort to strengthen road safety standards across the country.
The Ministry says the initiative aligns with government’s ongoing programme to upgrade infrastructure and enhance public awareness.
It recently installed new safety barriers along the San Fernando Hill roadway as part of these efforts.
