Agriculture Minister Ravi Ratiram is currently attending the Conference of Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas 2025 in Brazil.
The three-day conference, hosted by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, centres on the role of science, technology and innovation in food security and productive transformation.
Mr Ratiram is among 30 Ministers attending the conference, which is critical in shaping the future of agriculture in the hemisphere.
This year’s theme, “A New Narrative for Agriculture and Agri-food Systems in the Americas”, provides a platform to advance collaboration, sustainability and innovation in shaping the future of agriculture across the hemisphere.
Member countries are set to elect a new Director General for the 2026–2030 term.
