Works Minister Jearlean John says the Government remains committed to fixing potholes across the country, no matter the scale.
Her comments come in response to statements made by Opposition MP Colm Imbert regarding the Government’s nationwide pothole repair programme.
In a recent social media post, Mr Imbert questioned whether repairing a few hundred potholes would be sufficient, claiming there are “at least 50,000” potholes nationwide.
However, in a WhatsApp response to 103.1FM News this afternoon, Minister John said whether there are 5,000 or 50,000 potholes, the Government intends to repair all of them.
She added that despite what she described as attempts by the Opposition to criticise and downplay Government efforts, nationwide road repair works will continue.
