The Mandingo Road Slope Stabilisation Project in Moruga/Tableland has been completed, restoring safe access for residents in the area.
The 1.2-kilometre project included the construction of a gabion basket wall to stabilise a vulnerable home, along with a 39-metre reinforced concrete retaining wall to secure the hillside.
Drainage systems were also upgraded to improve water run-off, and the roadway was fully rehabilitated to ensure safer, more reliable access.
Works began after a site visit by Minister Jearlean John, who identified the urgent need for intervention.
