Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says U.S. President Donald Trump should focus more on domestic issues and less on Venezuela.
Maduro said yesterday he held what he described as a cordial and respectful phone conversation with Trump on November 21, but said he has since reflected on what he called continued illegal economic attacks against his country.
He argued that U.S. leaders should “mind their own business,” noting that Americans voted against foreign intervention, endless wars and regime change policies.
Maduro insisted that Venezuela will manage its own affairs and called for respect for national sovereignty and non-interference in international relations.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump has issued a warning to the Venezuelan president, telling him not to “act tough.”
