Police say a breakthrough has been made in the murder investigation of cricketer Rashme Deoajit.
The Trinidad Express reported that a 47-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night in Couva and is assisting officers with enquiries.
The 28-year-old victim was found at her home in Granville, Cedros on March 17, with her throat slit and multiple stab wounds.
Over the weekend, family, friends and members of the cricketing community held a candlelight vigil and a memorial in her honour.
