Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar today announced in Parliament that the National Gas Company recorded a profit after tax of 3.285 billion dollars.
She described the figure as the company’s highest profit in 11 years, noting it represents double the earnings of the previous year.

The Prime Minister also dismissed claims that the latest profit was due to work done under the former PNM government.
Mrs. Persad-Bissessar noted the company recorded losses in two of the last five years under the previous administration.
