Two oyster harvesters from Dow Village, California have been found alive, after being reported missing on Sunday.
The update was confirmed in a Facebook post by the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat.
Kurt Kissoondath and Nicholas Sooknanan went out to sea in Claxton Bay, to collect oysters but failed to return home, following which a search involving relatives, the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and Couva police began early Monday morning.
According to the post, the men drifted into open sea after running out of fuel and were later rescued by a TOFCO vessel in the Trinmar area.
