One man was killed and two injured in a shooting incident yesterday at Serraneau Road, Belmont.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Allister George.
The victim was cleaning a bushy area near his home when a grey Nissan Wingroad wagon pulled up, persons exited and shots fired.
George was hit about the body and died at the scene.
Officers responding to the incident were later directed to an apartment where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
He was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where police were also notified of a second victim who sustained a gunshot wound to the foot while driving through the area at the time.
This incident led to the early closure of the nearby St Francois Girls College yesterday.
