Three of the five detainees who recently escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre have been successfully recaptured.
According to the TTPS, they were held during an exercise carried out between 9pm yesterday and 2:30am today.
Acting on intelligence, officers cordoned off the farm areas between Aripo Road and Smith Field and searched several abandoned houses and garden plots.
This led to the incident-free recapture of 28-year-old Christian Jose Rivero Parades, 38-year-old Honatan Jesus Carreno, and 24-year-old Samuel Gonzales.
Still at large are Miguel Sanchez and Leirzer Omar Meza Font (see image above).
