Cricket West Indies is congratulating Jamaican spinner Vitel Lawes after his selection to the ICC Under-19 World Cup Team of the Tournament.
The 18-year-old left-arm wrist spinner finished as the West Indies’ leading wicket-taker with ten scalps and was praised for his consistency and match-winning breakthroughs.
Lawes delivered standout performances, including three-wicket hauls against Tanzania and Afghanistan, and bowled the most dot balls in the tournament.
Cricket West Indies says his selection reflects his quality and growth, and gives confidence in the region’s next generation of players.
