A landslide in Sudan has wiped out an entire village in the western region of Darfur.
AP News reported that some 1,000 people have been killed, in what authorities say is one of the deadliest natural disasters in the country’s recent history.
The incident happened Sunday in the village of Tarseen located in Central Darfur’s Marrah Mountains, after days of heavy rainfall.
There has been several calls for help from U.N. and international aid groups for help to recover the bodies.
