At least 31 people have been killed in an explosion at a Shia mosque during Friday prayers in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
According to BBC News, it has prompted an emergency to be declared at three hospitals in the city.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear, however reports suggest it was carried out by a suicide bomber.
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has condemned the incident, saying “targeting innocent civilians is a crime against humanity”.
