The Culture Ministry says a balance of $178 million is still owed to various stakeholders for goods and services provided for Carnival 2025.
The Ministry claims financial improprieties for Carnival 2025 where stakeholders reported non-payment for their services.
To this end, Culture Minister Michelle Benjamin has summoned the new NCC Board to a meeting next Tuesday, to discuss an immediate internal audit into the Commission’s financial and holistic operations.
Attention will also be placed on plans to address the outstanding stakeholder payments for Carnival 2025 and finalizing timelines and expectations for Carnival 2026.
