Imran “GI” Beharry has received high praises for his vibrant contribution to culture in T&T, Canada and the wider diaspora.
Commendations came from T&T’s Consulate General in Toronto and Caledon Mayor Annette Groves, who recognized him as an “authentic voice in the arts”.
They also acknowledged that his work as Commissioner with the National Carnival Commission will help preserve and elevate the cultural legacy of T&T’s Carnival.
“GI” was appointed to the NCC board on July 16th and is a former three- time Chutney Soca Monarch winner.
