The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has discontinued its hazardous seas alert for the northern exposed coastlines, including parts of the Gulf of Paria.

Officials say the risk from northerly long-period swells is diminishing, with waves currently around two meters in open waters and one meter in sheltered areas.

The alert, issued since February 9th, is now lifted, but marine interests are urged to continue monitoring sea conditions.
